Rod Burns
Rod works at Codeplay Software. He has been collaborating with the SYCL community for the past few years, building resources and supporting developers to make them successful in writing great code. He launched the open source SYCL Academy project to help developers learn how to develop with SYCL, and this is now adopted by universities around the world.
Kevin Harms
Kevin Harms is a team lead of the Performance Engineering group within the Argonne Leadership Computing Facility (ALCF). His interests include working on HPC programming models and high performance storage.”
Garth Wells
Garth Wells is the Hibbitt Professor of Solid Mechanics at the University of Cambridge. He received his undergraduate degree in engineering from The University of Western Australia and PhD from Delft University of Technology. Before joining University of Cambridge in 2007, he held a faculty position at Delft University of Technology and post-doctoral positions at Stanford University and The University of Texas at Austin. His research is the supported by the UK Excascale Computing programme ‘ExCALIBUR’ (https://excalibur.ac.uk/), and he is a strong advocate for open-source scientific software and open programming models and specifications.
Thomas Steinke
Thomas Steinke is head of the Supercomputing dept. at the Zuse Institute Berlin (ZIB) and responsible for HPC research, consulting and operation. His interest is in heterogeneous systems with innovative processor and memory designs for scientific applications, and parallel simulation methods.
Tom Deakin
Tom Deakin is a Lecturer in Advanced Computer Systems at the University of Bristol researching the performance portability of massively parallel High Performance simulation codes. He develops both the theory and practice of performance portability, exploring parallel programming languages and designing and evaluating proxy applications. He is Chair of the Khronos SYCL Advisory Panel and SYCL Outreach Officer.
